There are times that a user will be required to set up a header/footer in their PDF document. A header/footer can be easily set up in just a few quick minutes.
Create a Header/Footer
Step 1: You will need to open up the Header/Footer dialog box to set the header/footer properties.
- Click: Tools
- Click: Pages
- Click: Header & Footer
- Click: Add Header & Footer
Step 2: Once the dialog box is open for the the header/footer properties, the user can adjust the settings as needed.
A. Allow the user to save the header/footer setting so it can be used at a later date.
B. Adjust the header/footer font type, size, underline the text and change the font color.
C. The user can manually set the top, bottom, left and right margins for the header/footer to be displayed.
D. Input the desired text for the left, center and right header. (Note: The Left Header text is justified to the left side of the page, the Center Header text is center on the page, and the Right Header text is right justified.)
E. Input the desired text for the left, center and right footer. (Note: The Left Footer text is justified to the left side of the page, the Center Footer text is center on the page, and the Right Footer text is right justified.)
F. Allows the user to add page numbers to the header or footer text line.
G. Allows the user to insert a date to the header or footer text line.
H. Gives the user the flexibility to format the look of the page number and date line.
I. Provides the opportunity for the user to determine the pages the header/footer is displayed on.
J. Permits the user to preview the document header in real time.
K. Allows the user to preview the document header in real time.
L. Submits the header/footer settings in the document.
M. Allows the user to apply the header/footer settings to other pdf documents.
N. Cancels the actions of the user and does not set the header/footer settings in the document.
Step 3: Click: OK
